You might try Dallee electronics https://www.dallee.com/ they have a lot of different sound systems for various scales including S. Their sound systems are very authentic sounding compared to others I have heard

  • David Stokes says:

Many new locos, especially DDC loaded ones come with onboard sound (the speaker in the loco). There is no need, in DCC, to have a separate sound system. The British and American magazines have advertised sound systems recently for DC layouts. A word to the wise – do not wind up the volume. Imagine standing at he trackside, you hear a faint chuff, and see, down the line about a mile away, the train approaches. It gets louder as it approaches, roars past, and then fades away. That is the effect you should aim for. Too many layouts have sound fitted locos that you can hear across the other side of the layout. Not very realistic. Where sound is concerned, less is more!
