The food industry. get a building that will fix the space you have and call that building Kraft Cheese factory or swift Meats or and other name YOU can thing of where you live

  • David STOKES says:

Most food factories look just like any other industrial building and are pretty anonymous except for the signage.

Depending on what foods though there are some ancilliary things you might consider.

Canneries for vegetables, fruit and fish (Birdseye, John West, Safcol or Wattepict) will have a boiler house, water cooling towers, gas supply tanks, fencing, pallet stacks, bulk produce containers and lots of workers.

Fruit packing sheds will have orchardists delivering fruit, shipping docks, bulk bins, tractors (small like Fergeson’s or baby Farmall’s)

Dairies and cheese makers will have stainless steel road and rail tankers hanging about, refrigeration compressors and a waste pond.

Wineries will have lots of huge stainless steel tanks, a “tasting room”, a crusher and crush house for receiving grapes, cellaring sheds full of barrels and a bottling line. Wineries will also have a “lilly” pond for waste water and an area for disposing of the grape marc (seeds and skins). Deliveries would be straight from the vineyards and could be either road trucks or growers with tractors and trailers. You can probably guess I know a bit about wineries.

May I suggest a dairy factory. Milk tankers in, refrigerated trucks / refrigerated rail wagons out. Meat works too difficult with livestock in, stock holding yards etc. Cheese factory fits in with dairy factory. These are Aussie industries, I do not know what you call a dairy factory, maybe a Creamery.
