Hi ,are there plans available for n scale gas service stations

  • Stephen Ritchie says:

Hi, are there any plans for these to be produced in O scale?

  • William Janz says:

A number of years ago Walthers sold a cooling tower kit to be used with their ethanol plant. Cooling towers are critical to most industrial processes. A highly detailed single cell tower would significantly improve the authenticity of any industrial site. Single cell towers could be connected together to form larger towers like those seen in power plants, chemical plants and other heavy industry.

Interesting idea. Creating the shape could be an issue. If someone has some suggestions on what the PDF plan could be mounted on to achieve the correct shape that would be helpful.

What about a lumber saw mill?

    • Robert Anderson says:

Thanks. I will pass on the suggestion.

    • Ben Jacobs says:

Robert, a lumber mill might be a bit hard to construct as a cardboard plan due to all the machinery, pipes, ramps, and general openness of the structure. You would still need to add logs, sawn timber etc. It sounds like something you might need to stratchbuild or modify a plastic one to make it look more real even though plastic ones are really expensive. Perhaps you could supply a photo of drawing of what you had in mind? Ben.

Thank You for such a wonderful resource! How about modern (Americanized!!) corrugated metal siding structures, or, even more versitale, sheets of the siding itself? Blue and variations on tan seem to be popular with the prototype, worldwide, along with a muted, grey-ish green. Hope this helps!!
