I would expect some noise, but rubber pads under the glass may be sufficient to suppress this.
Try it out, but be ready to add felt, rubber or some vibration absorbent material under the track if needed.

Are you intending to glue the track to the glass permanently ? It will need something to stop it slipping around, possibly double-sided tape.

You can obtain rolls of thick transparent removable double-sided adhesive tape in various widths, which would deaden sound and hold your track in place (sometimes called “nano tape”).
(This is sold for sticking things to wall tiles in bathrooms and kithens.)
