Ray has a question for you about trains staying on the tracks.

“I am new to g gauge. When my train runs over a switch I cannot keep the cars on the track. The engine and caboose do fine. What am I doing wrong?”

One Response to G Gauge Derailments

I would take the car that is causing a derail problem and roll it by hand very slowly over the switch, watching the wheels of the car and see where the wheels ride up anr /or jump causing the derailment. Once you have located the cause you can find a solution by adjusting the rail of the switch with a little twik here or there until the wheels roll over the problem area without catching or riding up on the rail.
