Hi John, That is a nice size layout and if this is your first layout take your time and invest in Roberts -e- book. You will need all the tips and details to help you along and not get frustrated. There are endless supplies of layouts out there to fit your imagination and if you take your time and look long enough you will be able to design you own layout. Also go to Atlas model RR on line and look at there brochure for HO scale layouts. You can also purchase Atlas detailed layout books that tell you what to do and what you will need. If you decide to build one of there layouts or mix and match them they also supply all the necessary track and switches and controls etc in a complete “kit” that you will need to complete the layout and if you are willing to wait till they go on sale you get even a better deal. If you buy Model RR magazine there are a lot of (ads) vendors that sell computer programs to do the same, I prefer the books and they have endless layouts you can look up on line if you subscribe.
