Cos has a similar problem to many others (see earlier postings) and asks readers:

“I have an O-27 4’x8′ layout. At the far end my train slows and comes to a stop. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Run feeder wires from your power pack to the far end of your track. Do not rely on the track connections to give you a reliable electrical path.

Larry, Thanks for the suggestion. I have two connections on it now. One on an outside corner and the other somewhat halfway on the inside figure eight. I tried adding another connection as you suggested on the far end but it made no noticeable improvement. I think that the best solution may be to pick up a cheap transformer and use the non-variable current terminals to run my automatic gateman and get that off the variable track voltage. Thanks, Eric.
