Richard has a technical questions on track curves:

“On a 30″ radius curve, how close can parallel tracks be for modern passenger trains to pass each other without hitting, with the longest model cars?”

The short answer is take the widest longest care you plan to run on your layout and spread the tracks wide enough so they pass each other without leaving any body parts behind in the roadbed!

Richard,

30″ radius is a nice, broad curve to work with so if you have at least 1 1/2″ track center to track center (which works out to 20 scale feet in N scale) you shouldn’t have any trouble.
