Walthers make a street & kerbing kit, however, I have had good results using masonite board cut to size & using the "B" side of the material. I camfer the shoulders and then spray paint to choice color and further highlight with pastels. Glue to layout. It simulates a very good bituminised road. Using the "A" side and scoring expansion joints simulates concrete carriageways. Also scoring irregular cracks, patching, placing man-holes etc further enhances & highlights the roadway. Kerbing can be similarly created.
Regards
Ian (Aus)
