It is an auto reverse loop box, and it has easy install instructions. Even for the more experienced model RR these reverse loops can be confusing. I have not installed the AR1 yet but I have now purchased them for the ease and use of it and I will replace the one I have in operation now and when I add 2 more loops I will be using them. I use to do the old wireing and operation way but that is too complicated to tell you here and this way is more enjoyable to operate. Tony P
