Hi All, Well, I did the research for you through the internet, and as I figured there is not too much you will find, except for the real thing, lots on that. However, go to "ralph and sues meccano" web site, (it looks like a foreign site) I found that by doing a general search for funicular, and it looks like they built this FROM SCRATCH as I figured and it looks like the old Erector sets. They give complete instructions and a parts list so maybe with their help you can figure out a way to scratch build what you want in the scale you want. This sounds like a real challenge but go for it. In all my years of modeling I dont think I have ever seen a real adult kit for a layout. you might want to go on a foreign modelers search.
