					<description><![CDATA[I would shape a piece of styrofoam (extruded foam insulation into the general shape of the pile, then using a 1:1 mixture of white glue and water, paint the foam with the glue, then sprinkle real sand on it. It might take a couple of coats, but it should yield a realistic sand pile. Depending on scale, use the finest grain of sand you can.]]></description>
