					<description><![CDATA[Not sure if you are referring to the benchwork or the basic roadbed. There are a lot of thoughts out there about building roadbed. You can cut subroadbed out of plywood, make it out of wood splines, use extruded foam insulation, etc. &lt;br /&gt;Kalmbach has a good book on benchwork. I&#039;ve used both extruded foam for roadbed and cork. A lot of folks use homasote. Beware that homasote creates incredible dust! &lt;br /&gt;On my layout, I built the sub-bed out of plywood, then layed a 3/4&quot; layer of extruded foam (for quiet) then made the roadbed from cork roadbed.&lt;br /&gt;Hope this helps.]]></description>
