I recently had several Walthers Bi-Level and Tri-Level auto carriers cars customized to replicate the Amtrak Auto Train using Ph 3 scheme. Total consist of auto carriers are: 8-75" Walthers cars (4-ph3& 4-ph4); 7- 89' Walthers Tri-Level (ph3); 4 - 89' Walthers Bi-Level cars (ph3). Connected with Heritage cars (including Domes), I can build a consist from the early 80's, replace heritage coaches with Amfleet coaches can build the intermideate equipment switchover, then finally use Superliners 1 &2 for the early SuperLiner & Late SuperLiner consist.
My only problem is motive power. I need to find someone who can customize a P30 for my early consist, I have a GP40 with 2 F40 for the Intermediate and P40/42's for the later.
MicroTrains is releasing an "N" scale of the 89' Amtrak Auto Carriers. But as far as any other gauge; I have not seen anything using amtrak colors.
