My own interest is in Conrail diesels through the years, from the older Penn Central and Erie Lackawanna to what Conrail had on its roster when the merger was made with CSX and Norfolk Southern. You can also check the railroad rosters online and see what they had, and then check The Diesel Shop online to see when a certain diesel was released.
