I have installed sound decoders from Soundtraxx and TCS. You can purchase the decoder, speakers and enclosures for between US $115.00-130.00. I would recommend checking the following websites: Soundtraxx.com and TCSDCC.com. They have decoders for steam, diesel and electric locomotives and all of the wiring, resistors needed for any installations. Both sites also have instructions for installation and sound samples for each decoder type. Hope this helps.
