It has been hooked up to DCC before but now I have the equipment for it’s own power and all I need it some chips in my sharper turning engines. It should be DCC by my next train show that I will take it too. Including Thomas.

For that matter not a lot on a larger layout. Basically your layout all you have to do is have all your tracks on. Feed the main feed from the DCC unit of your choice ans Wa-La You are in DCC and all you need to add is DCC equipped locomotives.
Three simple loops is an easy task tie all the same rails from each track to one side and all the other same rails the same. Basically all three tracks will be on the same Buss wire to the DCC Unit. Doesn’t matter which track is what. Dial up the engine and which ever track it is on it will respond to your commands.
I have a 2 track circle that I use at train shows that is currently DC and it is all ready to plug in the DCC system instead. A simple loops is as easy as unplugging the Standard DC transformer and plug in the DCC system. You are ready to go. Just don’t run DC engines on DCC system and definitely don’t run DCC engines on Standard DC. from Newman
