Roger,   My Wife uses a very fine paper cutter for pictures in her scrapbooking.   The cutter hold paper sheets and the knife slides on a guide.    How about a little jig maybe of paper to hold the straw and glide the sliding knife through it.   The knife is guided on a straight line.   I will try it and let you know    Newman]]></description>
