Dannielle, I just purchased 2 DCC sound equipped General engines for Promontory Point The Jupiter and the UP 119 Rogers. Bachmann has a whole line of them coming out now in their catalog. Check out the run with the 2 engines teamed up and climbing the hill. The sound is real good. I might try to find a different whistle from what it was factory set but otherwise they are great. I also have 2 DC versions to update in the future. Check out the run. from Newman

I, too, bought Bachman "old time" Civil War era locomotives. I also bought a few Mantua locos of the same time frame, along with a number of Bachmann and Mantua passenger and freight cars. I was engaged in wargaming at the time and they fit perfectly in our scenarios. I bought some civilians, German-made I believe, to add to the authenticity of my village. I also bought kits of carriages and buckboards.
Good luck in your search!

I have an extensive HO collection that I am selling off. One of the engines is an Hon3 (narrow gauge) K-27 in brass. It is a beautifully detailed engine. If your interested just e-mail me and I will send you photos of it. I also have many steam engines from the thirty's and forty's. I hope this helps. Bob

Hi Danielle, Bachmann has several Civil War era starter train sets and I have a Union Pacific Golden Spike set that is a wood burner that I am going to use on my excursion line that I am planing to build. There are probably other manufactures that have similar engines. Happy hunting; Tim
