However, you might look on eBay at the locos with tenders that are available. That way when you do see a tender by itself, you will know if it is the correct one for your engine.

And then you could use the tender as a plan for scratchbuilding another one the same, completing two sets !

Then change the number on one loco to justifiably add it to your loco stable.

Or you could sell the spare. (Or keep it for spare parts.)

They are beautiful locos but not so nice without a tender. Have you tried e-bay. A very quick search and I found a used complete loco for a bit more than half the price of a new one. This still leaves you with 2 locomotives and one tender.
