Chances are that locomotive (having not been run for so long) may have several issues. The motor is dirty. Remove the engine’s shell, and place the engine on the track. Turn on the track power and manually spin the motor shaft. This may help to get the motor running again, it may take lots of tries. Once the motor starts, let it run by holding the in place while the wheels are spinning. If you can’t spin the motor drive shaft, then you will need to free up the gears with some light oil. Oil the motor shaft where it exits the motor, and worm gears at the top of each truck, and twist the drive shaft in each direction till it’s freed up. You will also have to clean all of the wheels. Use Isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips to do that. If all else fails do what Donnis Davis requested.
