I don’t think any other model will fit the shell properly unless you have the skills to modify the shell or the chassis. You can find GP-7 and 9 Athearn chassis with double flywheels on flea bay. I don’t know of any other chassis that will take an Athearn shell but I’m sure there are others. You may have to experiment. Others here, may have some advice for you.
