That should be an easy task: Go to the Märklin USA webpage and find a local dealer in your home region: https://www.marklin.com/service/store-locator/ They have (or can source) wheelsets for DC operation which fit your Märklin rolling stock and comply with DC standards. This way you can easily solve your problem!

Hi, I done this on some wagons, remove the wheels from the wagons then take one wheel off put a small amount of heat shrink on the axle then measure the axle including the heat shrink, open up the hole in the wheel the same size then re attach the wheel to the axle and replace on the wagon. You will need heat shrink a micrometer super glue and a set of small drill bit to complete the task

find the wheels closest in diameter to those on the Marklin. My concerns would be axle length. Kadee makes a conversion kit for some European equipment

Change wheels to the appropriate size Hard Plastic. Only need to change one coupler per rake of wagons or carriages to suit your locos atha you plan to use.
