					<description><![CDATA[European model trains run on ac power, so US standard model trains will not run on them. 
 I do however understand that sometime very recently they have converted to DC but only in maybe the last 10 yrs.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[My understanding of the Marklin system is that is similar to a three rail system in that there is a centre stud in the track, and the locomotive circuit goes from the wheels to the engine and back to the stud.  So &quot;standard HO&quot; equipment isn&#039;t going to work.  

And I think that Marklin ran on AC, so the controllers wouldn&#039;t work for standard HO either.]]></description>
