Hi I am from Sri Lanka. I had this problem. The biggest problem is the unseen dust that settles on the tracks. Once in a while I check the wheels and find to my amazement the grit that has binded on the wheels. I clean it with a cotton bud dipped in Isopropyl Alchohol and they run like new. I am now covering my layout with some old discarded lightweight bed sheets.

Nope they said it all already … how far does it move before stalling ? More then the circumference of wheel? Is it always the same piece of track it stalls on ?same place ? Is it pulling anything or running alone? And yes if you have another engine does that engine work fine over same incline ?

Yes check the track for being clean. DO NOT use a Bright Boy on that rail, as it scores micro scratches, creates micro sparking, and deposits residue on the rail head.

You have an issue with that section of track, is it a block? How is the voltage checking out wit a voltmeter.

Compare the track with other tracks that work well. Is this flat or on an incline?
Is this section insulated? Do you have power droppers in this section?

Check that the loco wheels and pickups are clean. Do other locos stall in the same place? If so, the track could be dirty os there is no power to that piece of track
