If you try all the appropriate checks and steps to insure it’s not your layout to no avail, then contact BLI. I’ve not had to interact with their customer support, but others have said their better than average. You may have to send it in to them or they may just send you a replacement decoder.

Hello Hervey,
thanks for your reply.i have e-mailed Broadway some time ago and they were very helpful,however there reset suggestion did not fix the issue.Ron Marsh from Rons train and things on you tube had the same issue and he suggested changing the settings to same as you suggested however there is no change to the problem.
i belong to the Waverley Model railway club in Melbourne Australia and we have a very large professionally wired layout.all the other locos i have including other Broadway,Kato,Atlas, Athearn etc.all run fine.so it is a bit of a mystery.

Hello Andrew,
it would appear the track voltage is fine, we have other Broadway,Kato,Atlas Dapol locos etc and all run fine ,all my other locos run fine including a couple of other Broadway locos.
i am a member of the Waverley Model railway club in Melbourne Australia.

One power supply should not be limiting your locos if you have a “Bus” wire and feeds at every 6 feet and you are not running numerous (10+) locos at the same time.
Is the slow movement only with your 3 BLI locos? If so then proceed to the decoder CV’s. There are 3 CV’s you want to check. First CV2 should be a low number 1 to 3, this is the voltage required to initiate movement. CV5 is the High voltage, from the factory this is a value of 255 verify that it hasn’t changed and if it has set it back to 255. Once you get the loco rolling properly you can reduce the top speed by reducing this value.
CV6 is the mid-speed value and will determine the shape of your speed curve. It can be any value you want as long as it is more than CV2 and less than CV6. To start the trial put 75 as the value. If your train now moves at more than a crawl you have resolved your issue. If not, contact BLI or look at installing another manufacturers decoder.

Cv 8 to 8. And change the address to the desired address. Then check cv,s 3 thru 6 to confirm they are at factory defaults.
