Creating Road Markings For Model Train Layouts

model train layout road linesMark asks:

“I use typewriter correction tape for vehicle road traffic lane dividers, but I have run out. Where can I buy that little thin stuff online?”

  • Dale Arends says:

Press-on correction tape is available from anyplace that sells office supplies. You can get it online from Amazon or eBay or Staples.com or … You’ll have to determine if it is the right width for your usage.

Woodland Scenics, among others, sells Road Striping tape specifically for this purpose.

  • Joe says:

Depending on what scale you are modeling
You could use automotive stripe tape
I think 1/32in. width is the smallest up to 3-4in.
Hopefully this helps you or others.
