Hi Bob,
First is the layout all wired and ready to go or are you starting from the beginning.
If its all wired and you have brought all your wireing to a main trunk or bank, just connect it.
If you are a beginner I strongly suggest you get a beginners book on basic RR model wireing.
These books never go out of use and are always good for reference purposes. There are many variables and shorts happen very easily. In the beginning or always label all your wireing.
