N Gauge Airport Scene Items

A reader asks:

“I am considering adding an airport and aircraft (static) into my model N gauge layout. Can anyone offer me some guidance, particularly with respect to aircraft size to be compatible with the railway.”

    Hi;
    Think the closest you will achieve is 1:144…I have a US Army tank train, also carrying M198 Artillery Howitzers as well as tanks etc.Looks fine.. Trawl the internet for 1:144 aircraft.

    Hi,
    I have found that a number of aircraft are available in hobby stores in 1:200 scale which is fairly close to N-scale. I had a nicely detailed DC-3″flying” over my transition layout and it looked good.
