Homasote

Sy has a question for anyone who wants to help him and asks:

“In my area I cannot find homasote. What would be the best substitute?”

Hi Sy, I like to use 3/8″ or 1/2″ plywood of course mounted omn a good frame. I dont like homasote just because of the added weight. So if I am going to use something over the ply I use 2″ styrofoam glued to it, and the possibilities are endless with that. Look at some of the old blogs on this site for more tips and ideas. Tony P
