Install A DCC Decoder

Dave wants ideas from those who know how to install a DCC decoder in a locomotive and asks:

“I want to install a DCC decoder in a small HO gauge model switch engine that does not have much room. Can I use an N gauge DCC decoder that might be small enough to fit?”

You can use any gauge decoder you want. Just make sure that you check the inside of your engine first to see if its a plug-in or has to be hard wired (Soldered) in place! The very most important thing to remember is (DO NOT EXCEED THE CURRENT RATING)no matter what size you install. You can install a Z-Gauge decoder and not have any problems if you like.
