John asks a question of readers:

I propose to use PECO stone ballast and wondered what proportions of glue mix PVA to washing up liquid and water I should use for ballasting track?

If you are using a water based glue (white glue) you can mix anywhere from a 1 part glue to 1 part water up to 9 parts glue and 1 part water. Get the viscosity that works for you. You only need 1 drop of dishwashing liquid in a pint (half litre) of water when you mix the glue.
You might try wetting your ballast with Isopropyl Alcohol in a spray bottle just before applying the glue.

John, A 50/50 mix of H2O to PVA should work fine.
