well you could use a procuct caled goo gone,Ihave used it and it really works well.Just follow the directions and use a soft cloth for tracks and a toothbrush for the wheels.
take a piece rag sprinkle some metholated spirits on lay it over the trak turn on the power place the wheel need cleaning and the othe wheels onthe trak they will pick up the power and the set on the rag will spinand your wheel should get clean then turn loco around and do the other set
