I built my own power supply using three matched three amp transformers (on a suitable chassis) connected in parralel. the output windings must be connected together the same way round and the output voltage measures 12 volts rms or ac. this is connected to 8,x 6 amp diodes in a bridge rectifier with a 2500 x25volt mf electrolytic capacator across the DC connections of the bridge rectifier. this gives me 9 amps of rectified dc current. It would pay you to consult a registered electricion so that the unit is safe to use.
