How To Convert To DCC

“I have just converted to n gauge from oo and purchased a couple of hobbytrains plasseur and theurer tamping machines and now wish to convert them to dcc. Has anybody got any idea how to do this?”

    Saying it in easy words: buy a dcc decoder and install it but… there are always a “but”! If you are not able working in electronics, I think it would be better to sent it to a specialized shop, to do the work. Sometimes it´s not only add a decoder, but what have to be done to put it. So my advice, if you don´t feel free disassembling the model, sent it to a shop.

    DCC is a big and complicated subject, therefore:
    Step One: buy a book on the basics of DCC and read it.
    Step Two: then decide whether you want to convert to DCC.
    Step Three: If so, you will now be in a position of knowledge to decide how much of a DCC system you want.
