The Difference Between a Single Slip and Double Slip

“Maybe the old brain isn’t working right (not an uncommon occurrence :), but I’m confused about understand the differences between a single slip and a double slip and what each does?”

    Hi Henry,
    A single slip has only one curve track with the crossing and double slip has two curved sections one in either direction hence the name Hope this helps

    You probably know that a slip combines a crossover with a point (or switch depending on where you live.) But a single slip only works as a point on one of the crossing tracks, a double slip works as a point on both tracks.
