Duncan asks:

Can anyone give me info about turning N gauge insulfrog turnouts to live for DCC? Also, were to buy the staple type converters from?”

The easiest and generally best way to turn insulfrog turnouts to live frog turnouts is to carefully remove the original turnouts and replace them with live frog versions. In other words, I don’t recommend you even try to convert them; you’ll likely ruin the turnout doing so and have to replace it anyway.

That being said, unless you are using locomotives with a short wheelbase or older single-truck pickups, insulfrog turnouts generally work fine with DCC. I do admit, however, non-insulfrog turnouts do look better.
