Problems With Genesis Big Boy Locomotive
Douglas asks readers for help:
“I’ve been a model railroader for over 65 years. However, I’ve run into a problem that I cant solve. My Genesis Big Boy will not reprogram. Are you aware of how or where I can program an NCE powercab for this loco?”

I don’t know much about a Genesis Big Boy locomotive programing, but I can across this web site that might help you in some way. I hope?

Go to the NCE website and put in a question in the support section, or download the manual for your system.
Actually, your question looks upside down. It is the loco that is programmed by the cab, not the other way around.
With the loco on a programming track, set the loco address to any number you like (you can use the loco number). Then set the cab to address that loco address. The manual will tell you how this is done.
It may take some careful reading and making notes !
