How to Run Two Locos in Different Directions

With your Digitrax DCS 52 you can control 20 locomotives at the same time. Using your command station, you give each locomotive a unique address (you can use the road number of the locomotive), . With your command station you tell (command) each locomotive which direction to run and at what speed by the number you assigned to each locomotive. That’s so wonderful about DCC (Digital Command Control). Personally, I’m getting into trouble running two trains at the same time. Good luck running three!
With dcc each train is independent and can run any speed in any direction. Even right into another train!!
Previous comments presume that you are running loco’s that have DCC decoders installed. Non-decoder-equipped loco’s can run with Digitrax on address 0000. The tradeoff downside is that you will be limiting the operational flexibility because any trains you run without a decoder will only run in the same direction.
Thanks you for the responses and support. The DCS52 has a recall feature. Once you address the locos it remembers them.
However, I still don’t understand how to run one loco one way and the other in the opposite direction.
CV 29 is a config setting and direction can be set there. So I was even thinking of doing that as both my EMD series locos are in sync with each other as far as speed goes and could run consist but I haven’t gotten around to trying that. I would think that both locos could be on same address but not really sure about that yet. Both the SD70ACe and the GP 60M have loksound decoders.
Are you trying to run them together in a consist? If so your controller should ask you which direction they are running in the consist.
