Which EZ Track To Use

Darren who models HO asks:

“I’m using EZ track and am planning to add a two-stall engine shed to my layout. Which track should I use to have two lines run into the shed before combining just after exiting the shed? Will there be any likely issues?”

I use Kato track for my entire layout, I love there turn table and engine round house. I have never use there engine shed, however, I used an old Atlas one and after laying the track I just the shed over it and had no problems. BTW I am an N scaler since 1968 and was glad to get rid of my Atlas and Peco track when I witched to Kato.

I also am a Kato user. My previous layout was approximately 12′ x 4′ and I never had a problem, (except the ones I created!). There was a Kato turntable which fed a 6 lane roundhouse, although that was scratch built. The new layout, using the same footprint, will also be Kato.

I use black Kato track with a black rubber road bed for my HO design.

  • Larry Card says:

If you are going to use a roadbed track it’s hard to beat the reliability and choices available with Kato Unitrack.
