Aircraft and Hangar For N Scale Layout

Carl is planning a small airfield ramp with a hangar and is seeking ideas:

“I don’t have space for an airport runway but I would like to display a small hanger on the edge of my layout which is N scale. I want just a small scene with a two-seater aircraft inside the hanger being worked on, and one or two other small aircraft parked outside. What size aircraft would be compatible and any other ideas gratefully received?”

Contribute any ideas below.

If you do a Google search on N scale model airplanes, you will find a site (Shapways.com) that sell what appear to be 3D printed models of common general aviation aircraft in various model railroad scales.

Look for 1/144 scale aircraft kits, which are made by many model kit manufacturers.

Or just raid local toy & hobby shops, you may find some suitable craft.

Try the GreenMax make at Hobby Search ! Ginormous Japanese site and then onto Airfield buildings.
Also, I picked up a WW2 Airfield, made in UK, sold under Corgi brand. and very much obsolete. Good Luck
