Joining Kato Tunitrak to PECO N55

Alvin asks:

“I am currently running on Peco N gauge 55 track and would like to gradually convert some modules to Kato Unitrack

Q. Is there a way to join N gauge Peco 55 and Unitrack to work efficiently? Has anyone tried to do that?”

Quite easy to do. I have done it with Peco Code 80 and Kato Unitrack in n gauge. Start by removing the Unitrack joiner from the Kato piece and then connect the Peco track to the Kato track by using the Peco rail joiner. The Peco track will probably need a packing piece underneath to bring the rail height up to the Kato rail height.
