N Scale Bachmann
Roberto wants to model N scale and asks readers:
“I want to start laying a small track within a space of 24″x48″ I bought Bachmann tracks and wish to form a layout using these tracks. Someone could help me providing with some layout plans showing the tracks identification please?”

I don’t like Bachmann track because in my opinion it’s stiff. I use flex silver track gets better conduction.Now if you want to use Bachmann track, buy silver. If you have to make curves put the track in vice and with a tourch and heat it up to bend it.
That’s backwards. Generally you design a layout plan first and determine the need track from that. There’s no good way to design a track plan for you without knowing exactly what track pieces you have.
There are many books available with track plans for many sizes, scales and concepts.

Does the manufacturer’s site have plans and suggestions ?
You can also google “2×4 N scale layout plans” for some great ideas.
Also check the manufacturers info for the minimum turn radius for the engines that you plan to run. You can be building a problem if your engines and the cars require a 11 or 12 inch turn radius.
