N Scale Kato Unitrack Feeders

I have a HO layout with solid 14 ga, for the main power source and solid 22 ga. for my track feeders and I use suitcase connectors which makes connections a snap. My feeders are about 12″ long.
Solid wires are easier to shape and line up to the rails for soldering then stranded.
Sure, 24 gauge wire for feeders should be fine. I ran my entire N gauge layout using 24 gauge feeders every 24 inches along the track. I kept the feeder length to 8 inches and never saw a problem (from the wiring).
24 ga. is getting pretty small. I use 18 ga. Do yourself a favor and use a larger wire size.
If you tin the wires before soldiering to the rails, it will make it easier.
