Drive Gears
Pete needs help from some friendly mopdel railroader who is prepared to guide him. Pete asks:
“Can I buy replacement drive gears to axle/s on engines/locos. Who can tell me if I can get brass to replace plastic/nylon ones? Also, what is the best way to install gears and how are the gears numbered or named? I need help please.”

You can get replacment drive gears from the manufacture of the locomotive. As for brass gears replacments I am not sure of. If not sure of the manufacture of the locomotive check with a hooby shop in your area. They should be able to help.
NWSL has gears, they have recently changed ownership so they are behind in their orders.

Call them to tell them what you have and they should be able to tell you what you need.
