Double Loop Power-Loc Track
Richard wants to hear from you if you are able to help:
“I have a double loop Power-Loc track. It has a large outer loop with an smaller inner loop which I have 2 switches in each side to run loc in either loop. What would I need to purchase to be able to run 2 locos in different directions? One loco would be in the inner loop and the other loco in the outer loop.”

You would need a separate controller for each loco, either DC or DCC. For DC operation you would need to wire your tracks in a 2 cab configuration with isolated control blocks and toggle switches, for DCC the loco’s decoder would respond to whichever controller has it’s address. DCC is simpler in this regard, but the initial cost of the system plus decoders sometimes scare folks off. Then again, toggle switches aren’t cheap either, and you would need a lot of them (at least 8, four for each loop, to begin with).
There are books available for wiring that should help immensely.
