LGB 55081 Reversing Unit
Seaborn has a question to challenge readers and asks:
“I need help wiring a 55081 LGB Reversing Loop Module. The manual that came with it has several wiring diagrams but, I don’t know which one to use with my simple layout. I am just doing a simple 2 loops at the end of a single straight track. I need to know more about wiring diagrams such as, how long to make the track with the sensors between the insulated area of the reverse loop?”

I don’t know anything about the unit you are trying to install, but I’ll bet the instructions didn’t tell you this.—-Make sure your train is (ALL IN) the reverse loop lighted passenger cars for sure.—-Avoid S curves if you find you have one make sure that it straight in the middle for the length of the longest car or engine.—Try hard not to use No4 turnouts if your planning to back any number of cars around it use Y’s turnouts with a curve radius of 24 or better or No6’s To Keep Derailments Down.
