Hi, I have just bought from EBay 20pcs A4 Inkjet Water Slide Decal Transfer Paper Craft Not yet arrived. I have madethe decals by copying images from the internet and then resizing in Adobe Photoshop. I am sure that Adobe Elements would also work. I designed my own decals using Microsoft paint and then copied into Photoshop.

As far as I know, there is no PC program specifically designed for making decals in any scale.
However, all you really need is a standard word processing program which will provide many types of fonts (letter styles) and decal paper which goes into your PC printer. If you have a scanner, you can scan or copy photos of signs you like, save them as the size you’d like them to print out and then print in black or in color.
You can buy decal paper online at Micro-Mark for about $7.00 for five sheets. You’ll have to purchase specific types of paper depending on your printer type. MM’s web address is:

There are other places that you can purchase decal paper online that may be less expensive. Do a Google search to find them.

Hi from Neil (again). the decal paper from HK (EBay A$13.95 for 20 sheets have arrived and I have used them very sucessfully and quite easily. [The colour yellow does not seem to work well) Needed to buy a can of “Crystal Clear” from an art shop (about A$12)to prevent the ink from running when the cutout decal is immersed in water prior to applying to the train. Later will spray with a cheap hairspray so nthat will not rub off easily.
Try Evans Designs Softwear/ It is listed in the Walthers catalog. And I believe they have their own site. They have softwear for all kinds of decals, signs, etc. Most can be edited to your desire.
