A number of years ago in a Model Railroader Magazine, was published an article on DIY photo-etching. How difficult is this to set up and can any-one direct me to a good source for information on this subject?

What formula would you use to scale “weight” in a model? If a prototype locomotive weighs 200 tons what should a HO scale locomotive weigh? I know models can’t be so heavy but I’m curious to know.

Hi, I have a Piko 55272 switch machine. Do I have to have a piko switch decoder and control panel to control this unit? Or can I just use a toggle switch and connect it to a DC or AC power source?
