Easy To Assemble Engine Shed That’s Already Weathered

This very real looking engine shed can be made using foam core (or core flute) both available cheaply from a local hardware store. You can also use an old cereal pack instead (as demonstrated in this quick video). It will still be very strong and is just as easy to construct. Get the plan from http://www.modelbuildings.org/engine-shed-B435.html

The video also shows some different ways to make windows for model buildings.

One Response to Easy To Assemble Engine Shed That’s Already Weathered

  • Michael says:

Find a sliding bolt, the sort that slides back and forth within a framework. When it’s slid out, the bolt lies under a metal hasp that doesn’t allow it to move from side to side. Screw the bolt to the lift-up section and the hasp to the fixed section. When the bolt is slid back, you can lift the flap. When it’s slid out, the two parts are locked together. Use one of these each side of the tracks.
